Website Overhaul, Combat Achievements & Major Content Update
Friday, June 12, 2026This update marks one of the most significant milestones in BoomPS history, bringing with it a complete rebuild of the website, a near-complete Combat Achievement system, major raid updates, new bosses, and a sweeping list of improvements and fixes that touch almost every corner of the game. Starting with the website, the entire platform has been rebuilt from the ground up. The account page now serves as a genuine hub for your BoomPS profile, displaying everything from your account creation date and total accumulated playtime across all characters, to your full order history and Bonus Track progress. Security has also been improved, with Two Factor Authentication now available and encouraged. The store has been completely overhauled as well, with new payment methods including Stripe, PayPal, OSRS Gold, and Crypto via BTC and LTC. OSRS Gold pricing is now displayed at an exact calculated rate per product, character selection at checkout is validated against your actual account, and billing details are saved for future orders. Alongside the store comes the Bonus Track, a brand new rotating reward system that awards bonus items based on points earned through voting and purchases, with more ways to earn points planned down the line. A new referral system has also launched, rewarding players for bringing new members to BoomPS through milestone-based rewards tied to votes, playtime, and donations. The forums have been retired in favour of a dedicated Wiki, currently in development and set to launch in the coming weeks with guides, detailed game information, and community contributions. On the content side, Sol Heredit now has a dedicated boss-only instance accessible through the teleport system, giving players a streamlined way to farm one of the more challenging encounters in the game. TzHaar-Ket-Rak's Challenge has been expanded significantly, with players now able to face up to six Jads simultaneously for those looking to truly test themselves. Chambers of Xeric has seen substantial work, with all rooms now in full rotation including Vespula, Ice Demon, and Jewelled Crabs, all of which were required to support the Combat Achievement system. The long-disabled Corrupt Scavenger room has also been repaired and returned to rotation. Most notably, Challenge Mode is now fully functional at CoX, and the leaderboard has been wiped clean to reflect this, now exclusively tracking Challenge Mode completion times. Combat Achievements themselves are now nearly fully implemented, with 464 of 479 tasks live. The remaining 15 are tied to Entry and Hard Mode Theatre of Blood, which are coming soon. The reward structure offers up to a 10% rare drop rate bonus across Hard, Elite, Master, and Grandmaster tiers. To celebrate all of this new content, we are running a community event on Discord covering Sol Heredit firsts, Challenge Mode speed records across various team sizes, the 6 Jad Challenge, and Combat Achievement tier milestones. Rounding everything out is a solid list of general improvements and bug fixes, covering cannon placement, poison persistence, the Fountain of Rune, GWD private instances, Grand Exchange checks, and a range of long-standing issues that have now been resolved.

BoomPS Updates - IOS & Android Mobile Plugin Hub, Phosani's Nightmare, Grand Exchange Changes & More
Wednesday, May 20, 2026Mobile Revamp The Android client now uses GPU rendering for cleaner, properly scaled graphics. A plugin hub has been added to both Android and Web with 19 plugins including Ground Items with Lootbeams, Boss Timers, Animation Smoothing, Menu Entry Swapper, and more. Plugin suggestions are welcome. Phosani's Nightmare A solo, harder variant of the Nightmare has been added ahead of the Combat Achievements update. Access it past the Nightmare via the Pool of Nightmares upstairs. 2FA Two-factor authentication now works in-client. Set it up via account settings using Google Authenticator. New devices will prompt for a code and stay trusted for 30 days. Account Selection Fully reworked for better performance and reduced memory usage. The login screen now times out after 5 minutes of inactivity. Grand Exchange Offers now expire after 14 days if not fully completed. All current offers will expire 14 days from this update. Other Additions Disconnecting now returns you to your character, in-game character switching has been added via the logout tab, new accounts require a real email address, ground items can be examined, and your forum profile will now reflect your highest donator rank, among other additions. Bug Fixes A range of fixes including Imbued Heart resetting on death, Bonecrusher Necklace, overload smuggling from NMZ, Whisperer prayer drain, Toxic Love perk, and several desync and drop table corrections.

BoomPS Updates - Elite Ironman Mode, NPC Stacking, MM1 & MM2 Dungeons & More!
Friday, April 24, 2026Elite Ironman Mode A new self-sufficient game mode with P2W shortcuts removed. Restricted to Realism or Hard XP modes. Key restrictions include Bond Shop items (capes, defenders, prayer scrolls, etc.), Mystery Boxes from the AFK Shop, GE and player trading, Wilderness Supply Chest, and the Lottery. Restricted store purchases auto-convert to bonds. As a trade-off, Elite Ironmen get double donator credit when swapping bonds at the Wise Old Man. Monkey Madness Dungeons MM1 Skeleton Apes now reanimate from dropped bones after 10 ticks, bursting into flaming bones once the respawn cap is hit. MM2 Kruk's Dungeon offers free public access or a private instance for 500k coins. NPC Stacking Rework NPCs now properly hold and release tiles, allowing natural stacking behaviour matching OSRS. This benefits training in Kourend Dungeon, MM1, and MM2. A small number of NPCs are exempt. Discord Booster Rewards Boosting the BoomPS Discord now delivers a monthly Ultimate Mystery Box (or 100 bonds for Elite Ironmen) to your linked account automatically. General Adjustments Notable changes include Moon Key drops added across Varlamore, Double XP Scrolls reduced from 150 to 50 bonds, Tournament item skill requirements removed, Whisperer pillar gap capped at 3, and Donator Island Store now stocks Steam runes and Chinchompas. Bug Fixes Fixes cover Mazchna task assignment, Chinchompa projectiles, Dwarf Multicannon reclaim and persistence, Tournament disconnection handling, ToA leaderboards, Ultracompost yields, and Vengeance no longer resetting movement.
