Our goal is to provide a fair, enjoyable, and respectful Old School RuneScape experience for every player. These rules exist to protect the integrity of the game, the community, and the time invested by everyone who plays.
By creating an account and logging into BoomPS, you agree to follow these rules at all times. Failure to comply may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent removal from the server depending on the severity and frequency of the offence.
While every effort is made to apply punishments consistently, staff reserve the right to adjust punishments where circumstances require.
BoomPS primarily follows a progressive discipline system. Minor offences are normally dealt with through warnings before stronger action is taken. Repeated offences demonstrate a disregard for the rules and will result in increasingly severe punishments.
Stage 1 – Verbal Warning
A moderator will explain which rule has been broken and ask you to stop.
This warning is informal and intended to educate players.
Stage 2 – Official Warning
An official warning is recorded against your account.
Future punishments will consider any previous warnings.
Stage 3 – Temporary Restriction
Depending on the offence, staff may issue:

Players who continue to ignore the rules may receive temporary bans ranging from 1 day to 30 days.

Advertising other RuneScape private servers is prohibited.
Advertising websites, Discord servers, YouTube channels, or services unrelated to BoomPS without permission is also prohibited.
Official Warning → Temporary Ban
Repeated advertising may result in a permanent ban.
Scamming players is strictly prohibited.
Examples include:
Players are expected to verify every trade before accepting.
Temporary Ban
Serious or repeated scams may result in permanent bans.
Any unintended game behaviour must be reported immediately.
Players may not intentionally benefit from bugs.

The use of bots, scripts, auto clickers, macros, cheat clients, or automation software is prohibited.

Buying or selling BoomPS wealth, items, services, or accounts for real-world money or anything of real-world value is prohibited.
This includes:
Attempting to arrange RWT is treated the same as completing it.
Immediate Permanent Ban.
Players are responsible for the security of their accounts.
Staff will never ask for:
Sharing accounts is done entirely at your own risk.
BoomPS is not responsible for losses resulting from account sharing.
Selling, buying, trading, or transferring BoomPS accounts is prohibited.
Temporary Ban or Permanent Ban.
Players may not impersonate:
Creating misleading names or falsely claiming staff authority is prohibited.

Serious impersonation may result in a permanent ban.
Staff members are expected to enforce rules fairly.
Players must not:
Questions regarding punishments should be submitted through the appeals process.
Creating or using alternative accounts to avoid punishments is prohibited.

Encouraging, assisting, or organising rule breaking is treated as participating in the offence.

Every player has the right to appeal a punishment. Appeals should:
Submitting multiple appeals for the same punishment may result in the appeal being closed without review.
Not every situation can be covered by written rules. Staff may issue punishments outside the standard progression where:

Players are responsible for remaining familiar with the current version of the rules. Continued use of BoomPS constitutes acceptance of any future changes.
