BoomPS Updates - IOS & Android Mobile Plugin Hub, Phosani's Nightmare, Grand Exchange Changes & More

Mobile Revamp

We've pushed a pretty significant update to the Android client. The app now uses your phone's GPU instead of the CPU for rendering, meaning graphics will scale properly to your device, no more pixelated mess. We're looking into bringing this across to the web client as well.

Alongside that we've added a plugin hub to both Android and Web, with the following plugins available:

• FPS Cap (defaults to 60fps)

• Ground Items with Lootbeams (configurable in the plugin hub)

• Ground Markers

• Low Detail Mode

• Minimap Zoom (also added to RuneLite)

• Minimenu Long Press Time (adjustable between 100-1000ms)

• Opponent Health

• Player Indicators

• Rune Pouch

• Stat Boosts

• Timers & Buffs

Phosani's Nightmare

Phosani's Nightmare has been added as preparation for the upcoming Combat Achievements update. It's a solo, slightly harder version of the Nightmare. Head past the Nightmare, up the stairs, and drink from the Pool of Nightmares to access it. Let us know how you find it and we'll adjust where needed.

Two Factor Authentication

2FA now works directly on the game client. You can set it up through your account settings at boom-ps.com/settings/account-security/ using Google Authenticator. When logging in from a new device you'll be prompted for your code, after which that device is remembered for 30 days.

Account Selection Screen

The account selection system has been completely reworked. The old system was inefficient and a source of potential memory leaks, so we've replaced it entirely with something much more lightweight. You'll also now be automatically timed out after 5 minutes of inactivity on the login screen.

Grand Exchange

GE offers will now expire after 14 days. If an offer hasn't fully bought or sold within that time it'll be automatically aborted and you can relist it. This should help keep the GE clean and make it a lot easier to find what you're looking for. All existing offers will expire 14 days from this update. 

Additions

• Disconnecting will now bring you back to your character rather than the login screen

• You can now switch characters in-game via the logout tab using the new "Character Selection" option

• Araxyte Venom Sacks are now edible

• New accounts will now require a real email address, existing logins are unaffected

• Ground items can now be examined

• Rune Thrownaxe special attack has been added

• Your forum profile will now automatically reflect your highest donator rank.

• Fixed a desync issue when leaving a tournament

• Fixed the Toxic Love perk not working correctly

• Ogress Shamans now have the correct drop table

• Fixed the HP bar at Tormented Demons incorrectly showing 11hp

• Imbued Heart now resets on death

• Fixed the "Clean Herbs at Nardah" Achievement Diary task
